Brandon C. Smith is an artist who works in a variety of media and subject matter including volumetric abstractions, figurative art, painting, drawing and installation.  The most recent solo work deals with a return to his earliest influences which is life drawing and the human form.

With artist Travis Townsend as part of the Smith Townsend Collaborative, the group deals with large site specific sculptural/painted/drawn installation that explore a range of topics from the heroic to the pathetic.

Smith has presented work in over 70 solo and group exhibitions nationwide. 

Brandon C. Smith is a Kentucky native and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University (KY) in 2000, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati (OH) in 2004.  He was a recipient of the Al Smith Kentucky Individual Artist Grant.  Smith is a Senior Lecturer of Art at the University of Kentucky and lives on a farm in Salvisa KY.
